All schools to remain closed in Delhi as Air Quality Remains Toxic – Aaj Ki Khabar
Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said all primarily schools in Delhi would be shut on Wednesday after air quality dropped to ‘severe’ on Tuesday as pollution levels breached permissible standards multiple times.
He also asked children and the elderly to avoid outdoor activities and told schools not to conduct assemblies in the open. Moreover, some schools like Shiv Nadar in Noida, have suspended outdoor activities for this week
The national capital and its adjoining suburbs were blanketed in a grey haze on Wednesday morning, dipping visibility to 300 meters at some places, causing train delays and slowing down flight operations here.
Some 30 trains coming to Delhi and 30 flights landing or taking off from the Delhi airport were delayed, according to officials.
The air quality in Delhi and adjoining Noida (Uttar Pradesh) and Gurgaon (Haryana) continued to be alarmingly bad on Wednesday.

AIMIM patriarch breaks down while addressing a rally in Hyderabad: Watch video
AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi on Friday broke down while addressing a vast gathering of his supporters near Hyderabad’s Mecca Masjid on the last Friday of Ramzan.
According to news agency ANI, the AIMIM chief was talking about the recent incidents of homes and shops of Muslims being bulldozed in several states when he became emotional. During his speech, he alleged that attempts are being made to wipe out the Muslims from the country.
“People are calling and telling me about atrocities being done to them, their villages and shops are being demolished. One should not lose hope, there’s no need to worry. We’ll face it with patience but will never raze a home,” Owaisi said, according to ANI.
He even warned PM Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and the BJP govt at the Centre that the Indian Muslims will never bow to such atrocities.
“Listen, Modi and Amit Shah. We will not bow before you. We are those who bow before Allah. Allah is enough for us,” Owaisi said as he recounted the recent incident of Khargone in Madhya Pradesh.
