LIMM students learn Mantras for success
Lucknow: In the cut throat competition of today’s world, professional success largely depends upon the manner in which you present yourself and what kind of impression your curriculum vitae leaves on the recruiters. An impressive curriculum vitae must be short, to the point and should clearly elaborate the key skills of the job seeker.
This and many other mantras of success were given to the students of Lucknow Institute of Media and Management (LIMM) by Ankita Singh, Vice President and HR-Head, Cignex Datamatics. A highly successful professional, Ankita described at length the various ways by which success in professional life can be achieved.
In the one day workshop, Ankita Singh engaged with the students and described the importance of Curriculum Vitae as it makes the first impression on the recruiters. She said an impressive curriculum vitae need not be three or four pages long rather it should focus on elaborating key skills and be crisp and to the point. She added that sometimes the competitors flaunt their Academic and special achievements so much in their CV that it becomes boring and time taking. So, it is important for every professional not to mention any skill which he does not possess.
Ankita Singh also put across many ways of being successful and grow at workplace. She stressed the fact that time spent at workplace and with co workers should be quality time one should give equal importance to workplace as given to family.
She also advised that if you are going to switch over to any other company or group, then it should be done in a responsible way following every rule of the existing employer. A real professional should never forget the experiences he has gained during his stint with any employer. A fat pay packet may be alluring but it should not be the sole criterion for taking decision. She also advocated proper research before joining any employer.
Advising freshers, she said that when you begin your job career, one never gets the desired post to work on, but you should remain strong and try to win trust of your seniors by hard work and commitment. Never miss any opportunity to display your skills and talent as that will make the higher ones think about you in a positive way and open new avenues for success.
Apart from being Vice President and HR-Head, Cignex Datamatics, Ahemadabad, Ankita is a motivational speaker and an ardent photographer and is planning to put her solo photo exhibition very soon.
