Manchester, Jan 25 (IANS) Manchester United head Jose Mourinho on Thursday said his latest recruit, Chilean star Alexis Sanchez will be in the squad for the FA Cup fourth-round clash with Yeovil Town on Friday.

“Sanchez will be in the squad,” Mourinho said.

The Portuguese tactician also said his former player Henrikh Mkhitaryan will shine for Arsenal as he has adapted to the conditions in the English Premier League (EPL).

“I believe that Mkhi is going to be even better than he was with us,” the 54-year-old said.

“Why? Because he has one and half years in England and one and a half years in the English Premier League (EPL). He has adapted.

“Arsenal with the way they play and they think — I think it is a good move for everybody. That is why I am also happy for Mkhitaryan,” Mourinho added.

Mourinho said he wants Manchester United to improve everytime and fight to win titles. The Portuguese also said that he has more attacking players option now.

“We want to improve all the time, be better and achieve big things. We are not going to stop until we do that. I’m very happy and have to say with pride the evolution of Lingard, Martial, (Scott) McTominay and these kind of young guys,” Mourinho said.

“At the same time you need a combination with Matic, Alexis – people with more experience that have experience in where we want to be – fighting for titles.

“Now we have five attacking players of quality, Mata, Rashford, Lukaku, Martial, Alexis and it’s fantastic for me and for the team, if the players one day are on the bench and they don’t like it, I’m happy with that,” Mourinho added.

Sunil Gavaskar gives his opinion of GT allrounder Rahul Tewatia

The left-handed batsman from Haryana is garnering praise from all quarters for the way he’s finishing games regularly in the most exciting IPL season.

Gavaskar reckons Tewatia’s whirlwind knock in Sharjah (in IPL 2020) where he smashed West Indies pacer Sheldon Cottrell for five sixes in an over, gave him the confidence that he belongs to the big stage.

Speaking on Cricket Live on Star Sports, Gavaskar said, “That assault on Sheldon Cottrell in Sharjah gave him the belief to do the impossible and the confidence that he belongs here. We saw the impossible (he did with the bat) the other day as well. There’s no twitching or touching the pads (which shows a batter’s nervousness) when he bats in the death overs. He just waits for the ball to be delivered and plays his shots. He’s got all the shots in the book, but most importantly his temperament to stay cool in a crisis is brilliant.”

Gavaskar has also nicknamed the 28-year-old cricketer the ‘ice-man’ and lauded Tewatia’s ability to remain unruffled during the tense moments.
