Although there are many things to consider after breaking up with someone, the single hardest thing to deal with is how to get over with breakup.Whenever someone mentions a break-up, all that comes to your mind is an aching heart.
So, we tell you how a break-up or a divorce can lead you to drug-like withdrawal symptoms!
1. Anti-social behavior
Many of us hear the term A.S.B.O. (Anti-Social Behavior Order) and immediately think about sulky teenagers, but did you know that many of us become the very thing we dislike after a breakup?
Anti-social behavior is very common during situations of sadness and pain as people act out their emotions with very little control. Sometimes it’s done by abusing those that are trying to help you. (Fighting with them etc.) Or sometimes it may be the extreme version whereby you may scratch your ex’s car door or break the windows of their house. While this is obviously not acceptable behavior it is explainable.
2. Chest Pain
Often feel that you are drowning and not enough air is reaching your chest when you are hurt? That is not just in your mind. Emotional pain actually leads to physical pain in the chest and it can feel like someone’s just punched you there. You also feel tightness in your chest.
3. Craving Cocaine
At least that’s what experts compare the anguish in your brain after breaking up with or losing the one you love with. Your brain responds in a similar way to romantic rejection than it does to cocaine craving.

4. Connections Between Breakups And Physical Pain
A breakup can actually cause symptoms that make us feel physical pain. The term “Dying of a Broken Heart” is not something to be laughed at. In fact it is a very real symptom caused by the body reacting to a breakup and causing the heart to beat faster or to tighten causing physical and undeniable pain which in some cases can actually lead to death.
5. Puffy Eyes
Of course, you spend the nights crying and you think it’s a little too obvious to have your eyes all swelled up the next morning. However, emotional tears are more watery and less salty that other, everyday tears. This means that your eyes puff more if you are crying because of emotional pain.
6. Weight Gain
Stress in your body can lead to weight gain as well! It is because when you are stressed, your cells become less sensitive to insulin, and hence, your body produces more insulin to compensate for that. This ultimately leads to sugar getting stored as fat and your body gaining weight. This also leads your body to crave sugar and fat, leading to weight gain around the middle.
