Tata Motors to launch Harrier SUV in Auto Expo 2019
Mumbai: Automobile maker Tata Motors Ltd on Wednesday announced its next-generation sports utility vehicle (SUV) to be launched in 2019 has been named ‘Tata Harrier’.
In a statement issued here, the company said the SUV unveiled at the Auto Expo 2018 as the H5X concept is named as Tata Harrier as a part of the run-up to the commercial launch preparations.
According to the statement, Tata Harrier provides a glimpse of the future generation of Tata Motors vehicles in terms of styling, technology and performance capabilities.
This 5 seater monocoque SUV is engineered on the new generation ‘Optimal Modular Efficient Global Advanced’ Architecture, which is developed in collaboration with Jaguar Land Rover.

This architecture is derived from the legendary Land Rover D8 architecture and is adapted to suit the Indian conditions by Tata Motors engineers.
“With Turnaround 2.0 into play, we are geared to win sustainably in the market. We are proudly speeding towards our next market introduction – ‘Tata Harrier’, yet another game changer, to offer our customers a product, that is not only exciting but that which will take our brand value to the next level,” Mayank Pareek, President, Passenger Vehicle Business Unit was quoted as saying in the statement.
According to him, the company is gearing up for the commercial launch in the first quarter of 2019.

Hyundai India launched the much-awaited Creta Knight Edition in the country at a starting price of Rs 13.51 lakh (ex-showroom, all-India). Furthermore, the company will offer the iMT option on the 1.5-litre petrol ‘S’ variant to further expand choices for the customers. The new S+ variant powered by a 1.4-litre T-GDi petrol engine with 7DCT now gets an additional set of features, such as –
