Periods , is a very common word which you all are must aware of but very few are so open about taking on periods. This is a menstruation cycle which girl faces every month. You all know that during periods girls face many problems. Some face lot of pain, mood swings, food carving, irritation and many other things. But one of the biggest problems which makes girl much disheartened is weight gain which they get during their cycle. Even some females gain around 2-3 Kg of weight. Shocked! After reading this? But this is actually true and quite normal.
So girls don’t worry much it as weight gain is only due to water retention which is temporary, this means that this goes away once period is over.

Cravings:
During menstruations girls feel wild feed craving this craving is also a reason behind weight gain. During periods girls loves to sooth themselves with their favorite foods like pizza or ice-cream, it is very much possible that after eating girls gain extra weight.
Hormonal changes:
Hormonal changes are very common during periods. During cycle females sex hormone estrogen is on peak. This high level indirectly signals their body to retain fluid, making them feel bloated and potentially causing girls to gain a few pounds of water weight. The better news is that these levels drop down as soon as periods started.
Laziness:
Women normally face laziness and feels sleepy the entire day during they experience periods.
As they got lot of craving and after that they feel laziness due to which they are unable to sweat as they do rest most of the time during cycle.
Caffeine intakes:
As women feels so tired during periods that is why temptation for caffeine intakes becomes so high. Women should avoid drinking so much caffeine intakes especially soft drinks because they contain lot of sugar and artificial sweetener.
So girls don’t worry if you are gaining weight during your periods it is quite normal so just take care of your while your cycle.
