Kapil Dev relives 1983 World Cup moment on ‘Dance Plus 4’ (TV Snippets)

Mumbai, Nov 28 (IANS) Former Indian skipper Kapil Dev became nostalgic on dance reality TV show “Dance Plus 4” after seeing dancers showcasing his journey from childhood to winning the 1983 Cricket World Cup.

“The way contestants have depicted that memory of the 1983 World Cup moment took me back to when I held the trophy in my hand after winning the crucial match. It made me so emotional and made me relive those moments again…,” Dev said in a statement.

Dev was invited as a special guest on the StarPlus’ show, where participants paid tribute to the legendary cricketer.

Reminiscing his journey, the 59-year-old advised the next-gen to keep their passion alive.

“It is our passion which helps us in fulfilling our dreams. When I was a kid, all I knew that I wanted to play games, the love for cricket followed.

“After watching the contestants, I remembered my younger days and I would just like to say that keep your passion alive and compete with yourself, which will eventually help you in achieving success”.

Sara Khan is a talented person, says singer Ramji

After working with TV actress Sara Khan in his new song “Trend”, singer Ramji Gulati is in complete awe of her.

“Sara has collaborated well with me and my team. Though shooting was tough in Dubai’s hot weather, Sara managed to give her best in the video,” Ramji said in a statement.

The singer also said that he wants to collaborate on singing with Sara as he feels the “Sapna Babul Ka…Bidaai” actress has a great voice.

“Since Sara also has a good voice besides great looks, we might (Ramji and his team) collaborate on singing with her as well. She is a talented person…,” said Ramji.

Directed by United White Flags, “Trend” was released by Zee Music on Tuesday.

Mahima juggling between shoot, college

“Mariam Khan – Reporting Live” actress Mahima Makwana is trying to maintain a balance between her studies and shooting.

Apart from playing the lead role of Mariam in the TV show, the 19-year-old is pursuing her degree in Bachelor of Mass Media.

Asked how she balances both at the same time, she said in a statement: “I love my course as much as I love acting, and I am glad I am getting to do both.

“It gets really difficult at times with college assignments and hectic shoot routines but I try my best to manage both.”

World-renowned business tycoon Dr. Abhishek Verma has supported Foodman Vishal Singh’s Hunger-Free World mission. In memory of his mother, Late Veena Verma, who was a 3 term Rajya Sabha MP.

Dr. Verma dedicated a state-of-the-art free permanent shelter for the attendants of patients at KGMU Medical University, Lucknow, under the aegis of Vijay Shree Foundation. His daughter, Nicolle Verma, inaugurated the shelter.

During the event, Foodman Vishal Singh honored Nicolle Verma by presenting her with a memento. Mrs. Nidhi Sharma and Avantika Yadav, associated with the organization, welcomed her with garlands. Following this, Nicolle Verma distributed essential items to the attendants and also handed out fruits. She became emotional remembering her grandmother on her birth anniversary.

On this occasion, she also inaugurated the “Veena Verma Sevalaya” in memory of her grandmother, Veena Verma, to serve the attendants. She expressed, “I feel proud that my family is engaged in nation-building as well as social service. Today, in collaboration with Vijay Shree Foundation founder Foodman Vishal Singh Ji, I feel immensely proud to dedicate this shelter for the poor, helpless, and needy attendants of patients battling serious illnesses like cancer. I am honored to be associated with the Hunger-Free World Mission for humanity.”

Inspired by the continuous humanitarian service provided by Vijay Shree Foundation over the past 17 years, Nicolle Verma donated 10 lakh rupees to support the cause. The purpose of this donation is to ensure that services continue for the needy attendants of patients suffering from severe illnesses in hospitals, as facilitated by Foodman Vishal Singh.

It is noteworthy that Dr. Abhishek Verma’s family has a legacy of public and philanthropic service. They are helping millions to carry forward the values and service work of their parents. On the occasion of his mother’s birth anniversary, Dr. Abhishek Verma dedicated this state-of-the-art permanent shelter at Lucknow Medical College to serve the attendants of patients through the Vijay Shree Foundation.
