New Delhi: To celebrate 20th anniversary, the South Korean company Hyundai will launch its much-awaited first subcompact SUV ‘Venue’ and apart from this they are going to roll out 8 new car models in India by 2020.

The starting price for this new Hyundai Venue will be Rs 6.50 lakh for base petrol version and will going up to Rs.11.10 lakh for range-top automatic variant in this segment.

With its global debut at the New York earlier in Auto Show, Bookings for Hyundai Venue are already underway and this SUV has already bagged over 2000 orders in a single day.

However, Hyundai Venue on road price goes approximately up to Rs 7.34 lakh to Rs 12.95 lakh (on-road Delhi).

The ‘Venue’ with promising strong start for the SUV, deliveries will begin later this month. India is one of the key markets for the Hyundai and it has been developed keeping preference for Indian customers in concern.

According to Hyundai Motor India Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer YK Koo from company said that in second half of next year, they will import a plan to introduce Electric SUV made under ‘Made In India’.

The Hyundai’s Venue has been designed in line with the company’s international SUV like the new Santa Fe and Palisade. On other hand, features will draw power from two petrol and one diesel engine options include a radiator grille with chrome detailing, projector headlamps with LED DRLs, high mounted indicators, projector fog lamps, tall stance and stubby boot design. The SUV also gets a set of new sporty 16-inch alloys, roof rails, and LED tail lamps with Z cluster patterns.

Hyundai will offer the SUV in 7 exterior colour options-Denim Blue, Lava Orange and Deep Forest along with three Dual Tone options. However; biggest highlight for the Hyundai Venue is that it’s the first connected car in its segment, thanks to the Blue Link connectivity system.

After Santro now Hyundai rolls out new Venue at Rs 6.50 lakh in India:

The system offers 10 India-only features with a total of 33 connectivity features including geo-fen1cing, speed alerts, SOS, panic notifications, destination sharing, and road-side assistance and so on.

Other cabin features include-remote engine start/stop, remote climate control, voice recognition, vehicle relationship management, electric sunroof, cruise control, automatic climate control, rear AC vents, cornering lamps and a cooled glove box.

This in addition to an 8-inch floating touch-screen display, loaded with Apple Carplay, Android Auto, Venue is a resemblance to Creta too at the sides. Navigation and production-spec version finds its design language inspired from the newer Hyundai models with the massive cascading grille up.

Three-cylinder turbocharged petrol motor churns out 118 bhp and 172 Nm of peak torque and is mated to a dual-clutch transmission while a six-speed manual is also on offer.

There’s also the 1.2-litre, four-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol mill belting out 82 bhp and 114 Nm of peak torque, which is paired with only a 5-speed manual transmission.

Lastly, the 1.4-litre, four-cylinder, turbocharged diesel produces 89 bhp and 220 Nm of peak torque and is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. A diesel automatic is not on offer.

Hyundai started its Journey in India with ‘Santro’ and company is in the process of launching a new hatchback car soon.
