Here are the top-5 best selling sedans in the month of January.
Honda City – 3,667 units
The Honda City was the largest-selling mid-size sedan in India in January 2021 with total sales of 3,667 units. At present, both fourth-gen City and fifth-gen City are sold here. While the fourth-gen Honda City is priced between Rs 9.30 lakh and Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), the fifth-gen Honda City is available in the price range of Rs 11 lakh to Rs 14.85 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Hyundai Verna – 2,000 units
The Honda City was followed by the Hyundai Verna at the second spot with total sales of 2,000 units in January 2021. The Verna is offered in the price range of Rs 9.11 lakh to Rs 15.20 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Maruti Suzuki Ciaz – 1,347 units
The Maruti Suzuki Ciaz was the third largest-selling mid-size sedan in India in January 2021 with total sales of 1,347 units. The Ciaz’s price ranges from Rs 8.42 lakh to Rs 11.33 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Skoda Rapid – 757 units
At the fourth position in January 2021 was the Skoda Rapid with total sales of 757 units. The Rapid’s price starts at Rs 7.79 lakh and goes up to Rs 13.29 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Toyota Yaris – 412 units
The fifth largest-selling mid-size sedan in India in January 2021 was the Toyota Yaris with total sales of 412 units. The Yaris is priced between Rs 9.16 lakh and Rs 14.60 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Hyundai India launched the much-awaited Creta Knight Edition in the country at a starting price of Rs 13.51 lakh (ex-showroom, all-India). The 2022 Hyundai Creta is now available in a new Denim Blue colour option and the Highline TPMS is now standard across all variants. The SX (O) trim now also gets a glossy black centre console. Furthermore, the company will offer the iMT option on the 1.5-litre petrol ‘S’ variant to further expand choices for the customers. The new S+ variant powered by a 1.4-litre T-GDi petrol engine with 7DCT now gets an additional set of features, such as –
