KTM Duke limited edition unveiled: Read features and price
KTM has just unveiled a super exclusive 1290 Super Duke RR. This motorcycle is possibly the most extreme 1290 Super Duke ever made and is limited to only 500 units.
The 1290 Super Duke R was already one extremely powerful motorcycle. But the Austrian maker decided to up the game by equipping the motorcycle with top-spec components and electronics. To start with, this bike gets lots of carbon fibre bits. The fairing, mudguard, brake ducts, chain guard and even the ignition lock – all is made of carbon fibre. The pillion seat gets a carbon single seat which weighs just 800gms. The new wheels are forged making it 1.5kgs lighter. There are some weight savings in battery too. This new one saves 2.5kgs.
In the suspension department, KTM has replaced the standard WP suspension with Apex Pro level components. This bike is shod with super sticky Michelin Power Cup 2 tyres. There are some other additions like a new titanium slip-on and quick-action throttle. The electronics have been updated to give a sportier experience.
This limited edition KTM is priced at £21,499 (Rs 22.24 lakh) and wish we could see at least one bike being imported into the country by some KTM fanatic.
