Hyundai Alcazar garners over 11,000 bookings within a month
Launched less than a month ago, Hyundai Alcazar garnered over 11,000 bookings in a short span of time. More than 5,600 units of the Alcazar are already on the roads and with the positive response to the bookings, the South Korean carmaker plans to ramp up production from its Chennai plant.
Tarun Garg, Director (Sales, Marketing & Service), Hyundai Motor India Ltd., said, “Hyundai ALCAZAR has received an overwhelming response from customers with over 11 000 Bookings received in less than a month since its launch. This superlative response showcases our customer’s affinity towards a high value, versatile and premium package that Hyundai Alcazar epitomizes perfectly.”
The new Hyundai Alcazar comes equipped with both petrol and diesel powertrains. The 2.0-litre petrol unit develops 157bhp and 191Nm of peak torque, while the 1.5-litre diesel mill develops 113bhp and 250Nm of torque. Both the powertrains come coupled with a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission.

Hyundai India launched the much-awaited Creta Knight Edition in the country at a starting price of Rs 13.51 lakh (ex-showroom, all-India). In addition to this, the company has also introduced a model-year update for the Hyundai Creta with new feature additions.
The 2022 Hyundai Creta is now available in a new Denim Blue colour option and the Highline TPMS is now standard across all variants. The SX (O) trim now also gets a glossy black centre console. Furthermore, the company will offer the iMT option on the 1.5-litre petrol ‘S’ variant to further expand choices for the customers. The new S+ variant powered by a 1.4-litre T-GDi petrol engine with 7DCT now gets an additional set of features, such as –

– Rear Disc Brakes

Mechanically, the SUV continues to be powered by the existing petrol and diesel engine options.
