Tesla plant may soon be set up in India, Elon Musk tweeted

According to the news, America’s famous automaker Tesla may set up a manufacturing plant in India. Tesla CEO Elon Musk himself has indicated this. Let us tell you that the Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari had advised Tesla to set up the plant in India. Along with this, he had enumerated the advantages of coming to India.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk was asked on Twitter if the company has any plans locally. In response to this question, Elon Musk has said that if the company is successful with imported vehicles in India, then it may consider setting up a manufacturing plant later. Musk said that at present the import duty in India is among the highest in the world. He hoped that there would be duty relief on electric vehicles at least temporarily.

Elon Musk said that India adopts clean energy vehicles like diesel and petrol vehicles, while both these vehicles are not compatible with its climate goals. Elon Musk hoped that India would at least offer temporary duty relief on electric vehicles. This would be a good move.

Hyundai India launched the much-awaited Creta Knight Edition in the country at a starting price of Rs 13.51 lakh (ex-showroom, all-India). In addition to this, the company has also introduced a model-year update for the Hyundai Creta with new feature additions.

The 2022 Hyundai Creta is now available in a new Denim Blue colour option and the Highline TPMS is now standard across all variants. The SX (O) trim now also gets a glossy black centre console. Furthermore, the company will offer the iMT option on the 1.5-litre petrol ‘S’ variant to further expand choices for the customers. The new S+ variant powered by a 1.4-litre T-GDi petrol engine with 7DCT now gets an additional set of features, such as –

– Smart panoramic sunroof

– 16-inch black alloy wheels

– Smartphone wireless charger

– Rear Disc Brakes

– Electronic Stability Control (ESC)

– Vehicle Stability Management (VSM)

– Hill start assist control (HAC)

– Paddle shifters

– Metal pedals

– Electric and auto-folding ORVMs

– Power window auto up/down

Mechanically, the SUV continues to be powered by the existing petrol and diesel engine options.
