Suryakumar Yadav got the title of ‘Player of the Series’ in his debut ODI series itself
Suryakumar Yadav may have got a chance to play for Team India after a long time, but he has proved it after this opportunity that he is one of the best player of Team India. He made his debut in the three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka. Let us tell you that due to his performance, Yadav won the Player of the Series title in the three-match ODI series.
Indian middle-order batsman Suryakumar Yadav finished second in terms of scoring the most runs for India in the three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka. He scored a total of 124 runs in three matches at an impressive average of 62 and his best score was 53 runs. He scored an unbeaten 31 runs in the first ODI, 53 runs in the second and 40 runs in the third match. In terms of scoring the most runs in this ODI series for India, the captain of the team was at number one and he scored 128 runs in three matches, while Prithvi Shaw scored 105 runs in the matter of scoring the most runs at number three. Suryakumar Yadav was successful in winning the Player of the Series title in his debut T20 series and now in the ODI series.
Suryakumar Yadav came at number six in terms of scoring the most runs for India in the first three ODIs. Earlier this position was held by Vijay Shankar who scored a total of 123 runs in the first three matches of his ODI career. Navjot Singh Sidhu, who scored 199 runs, is at number one in terms of scoring the most runs in the first three ODIs of his ODI career for India.

The left-handed batsman from Haryana is garnering praise from all quarters for the way he’s finishing games regularly in the most exciting IPL season.
Gavaskar reckons Tewatia’s whirlwind knock in Sharjah (in IPL 2020) where he smashed West Indies pacer Sheldon Cottrell for five sixes in an over, gave him the confidence that he belongs to the big stage.
Speaking on Cricket Live on Star Sports, Gavaskar said, “That assault on Sheldon Cottrell in Sharjah gave him the belief to do the impossible and the confidence that he belongs here. We saw the impossible (he did with the bat) the other day as well. There’s no twitching or touching the pads (which shows a batter’s nervousness) when he bats in the death overs. He just waits for the ball to be delivered and plays his shots. He’s got all the shots in the book, but most importantly his temperament to stay cool in a crisis is brilliant.”
Gavaskar has also nicknamed the 28-year-old cricketer the ‘ice-man’ and lauded Tewatia’s ability to remain unruffled during the tense moments.
