Stressing the need for all-round development of students in Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said on Thursday that with the implementation of the New education policy, education in the state will not merely be confined to bookish knowledge, rather innovations will be brought in.

While distributing appointment letters to 2,846 newly selected lecturers and assistant teachers of government secondary schools at an event held at Lokbhawan under Mission Rozgar, the CM said “during your school, you must have adopted the education policy of 1986, but from 2022 you will adopt the new education policy. Education should not be just bookish knowledge, but new innovation will be brought in. This has been taken care of in the new education policy and you all have to prepare for the same.”

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has called upon the teachers to return to the golden days of government and aided secondary schools. The challenge before these educational institutions is to save the identity. Teachers have to come forward in order to change the image.

CM Yogi also guided the selected lecturers to fulfill their responsibility with sincerity. There is a need to build confidence in the new generation and the teachers should take a personal interest in every student, he added.

The CM insisted that the teachers in the State need to be aware of the education policies of the government. In this way, they can encourage and guide the youth in the right direction. “Many a time the students complain that they did not get the scholarships. It is the responsibility of teachers to inform the students regarding the same” he stated.

Describing the teacher as the building block of the society and the nation, he said that the teachers must realize their great responsibility and prepare a generation that will be able to lead the nation in the coming time.

The Chief Minister asserted that the current government has given government jobs to more than 4.5 lakh youths in Uttar Pradesh and by the end of tenure, the number will cross over 5 lakhs,” said Yogi Adityanath.

Reiterating on the fair and transparent recruitment process in Uttar Pradesh, the CM said “before 2017, every selection process used to go through corruption. The youth was desperate and hopeless, forced to migrate.. The entire system of recruitment was deeply engrossed in dishonesty and nepotism. Our government has controlled the entire process and made it transparent. The effects are visible. In 2021, the unemployment rate of Uttar Pradesh has been reduced to 4.1% because of the transparency in providing employment.

”Regarding the work on infrastructure development in the State, the CM further said that it is the result of the hard work of the government the state of Uttar Pradesh has become the second-largest economy of the country. Many investors are now making huge investments in UP. Investment friendly policies have enabled 1.61 crore youth to get employment in the private sector.

Expressing satisfaction over the success of ODOP, the CM said that these works could have been done earlier also but it was not the intention of the previous governments to provide jobs and employment to the youth in the state.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Chief Minister Dr Dinesh Sharma said that under the direction of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Uttar Pradesh is the first state to implement the education policy of India. The education system in the state is totally fair and transparent.

Minister of Basic Education Satish Dwivedi said that CM Yogi Adityanath will be known as ‘Rozgar Purush’ in future.

Earlier, Additional Chief Secretary Secondary Education, Aradhana Shukla informed that through a fair and transparent selection process, teachers were selected in government and aided secondary schools by the Public Service Commission of Uttar Pradesh.
