Good News! Volkswagen Taigun to be launched on September 23

Volkswagen is all set to launch the new mid-size SUV Taigun on September 23.  Ashish Gupta, Director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars India, earlier mentioned in a tweet that the company has already started the pre-booking for Taigun from 9th August. However, the prices of the Taigun are yet to be revealed.

The company has also informed that it is also providing an exclusive offer for Squad members. “We are glad to inform you that as a part of exclusive privileges, on pre-booking of the New Volkswagen Taigun, Squad members are eligible for a voucher worth Rs 5,000, redeemable upon the delivery,” the company said.

“You may redeem your unique voucher in any one of the ways stated below and communicate the same to your dealer: Get Rs 5,000 off on purchase of Extended Warranty, or get Rs 5,000 off on Service Value Pack for 2 years and beyond, or get Rs 5,000 off on specially curated accessories packages for the New Volkswagen Taigun,” it added.

Volkswagen will be offering the Taigun in 5 colours – Wild Cherry Red, Candy white, Reflex Silver, Carbon Steel Grey, Curcuma Yellow. The MQB A0 IN ensures that the Volkswagen Taigun is made in India and made for India in every way, for every unique hustle. The platform has been designed to meet the new emission requirements for India, the company has mentioned.

The MQB platform ensures enhanced safety for all occupants, and it is possible to produce different cars on one line which results in many synergies. The localisation level of the new mid-size SUV is up to 95 per cent. The localisation allows to make changes in platform to adapt to local Indian requirements but the stringent group standards are still maintained, Volkswagen said.

New Volkswagen Taigun comes in 2 engine variants – 1.0L and 1.5L TSI EVO. “Our TSI engine is a high functioning combination of being energetic and economical – two characteristics that do not generally work together in conventional petrol engines,” it mentioned.

An amalgamation of Stratified Direct Fuel Injection (FSI), downsizing and turbocharging help it in delivering power and torque packed high-tech units with low consumption, the company said.

Hyundai India launched the much-awaited Creta Knight Edition in the country at a starting price of Rs 13.51 lakh (ex-showroom, all-India). The 2022 Hyundai Creta is now available in a new Denim Blue colour option and the Highline TPMS is now standard across all variants. The SX (O) trim now also gets a glossy black centre console.
