Improved version of Honda BR-V-7 launched with advanced features

Honda Motor Company took the cover off the new-generation Honda BR-V 7-seater SUV showcased for the Indonesian market via a virtual launch event. The second-generation Honda BR-V SUV comes with a completely redesigned look and a series of advanced technologies that are not only the first to be implemented in the model but also boasts first in the segment as well. Honda says a long and in-depth study about the needs and driving habits of 7-seater SUV customers in Indonesia was conducted to develop the second generation of Honda BR-V. The new Honda BR-V 7-seater SUV was earlier codenamed Honda N7X Concept.

Honda BR-V 7-seater SUV exterior:

In line with its initial development concept, the all-new Honda BR-V was designed as a tough SUV with ample space and the qualities of an MPV, coupled with efficient powertrains. The exterior of the Honda BR-V 7-seater is dynamic with strong body lines that run from the front to the rear. The aggressive and sporty front section of the new BR-V features newly designed LED headlamps equipped with LED Daytime Running Light (DRLs) integrated into the front grille. In profile, the larger 17-inch alloy wheels add prominence to the SUV look, while at the rear, the new BR-V sports newly designed LED tail lamps designed to blend with the body lines. The new Honda BR-V 7-seater SUV will be available in five color options- new Premium Opal White Pearl, Taffeta White, Lunar Silver Metallic, Modern Steel Metallic, and Crystal Black Pearl.

Honda BR-V 7-seater SUV interior:

Inside, the new Honda BR-V 7-seater SUV features a spacious cockpit with a newly designed cabin that boasts a first row armrest and second row armrest as well. The new Honda BR-V also provides more power outlets in the front, middle, and rear seats. For the driver, a 4.2-inch TFT display is located on the dashboard to display various important information such as Honda SENSING functions, average fuel consumption, mileage, and remaining fuel. Meanwhile, a 7-inch touch screen displays audio equipped with various functions, including smartphone connection and a hands-free telephone convenience as well.

Honda BR-V 7-seater SUV upholstery:

The new BR-V 7-seater SUV features leather materials for the cabin, including for the armrests, door panels, and dashboard. The storage spaces also have been increased, including on the armrests, small items storage, cup holders in the console area, sun visor with makeup mirror and lamp, storage compartments with many pockets behind the seats, up to 8 water bottle holders and a third-row seats that can be folded up with 50:50 configuration.

Honda BR-V 7-seater SUV engine:

The heart of the new Honda BR-V 7-seater SUV features a new 1.5-litre DOHC i-VTEC petrol engine with 121bhp @6,600 rpm and 145Nm @4,300 rpm of peak torque, mated to a new CVT transmission system. As of now, the new BR-V for the Indonesian market will not get a diesel unit.

The new Honda BR-V is equipped with advanced features such as remote engine start, walk away auto lock, Honda LaneWatch, smart entry system, and auto foldable ORVM with LED turning signal that retracts when the car is locked. The safety feature on board the new Honda BR-V is called Honda Sensing technology that provides comprehensive protection for drivers and passengers by providing warnings and automatically taking action to reduce the risk of accidents. These include lead car departure notification system, collision mitigation brake system, lane keep assist system, road departure mitigation, adaptive cruise control, and auto-high beam.

Hyundai India launched the much-awaited Creta Knight Edition in the country at a starting price of Rs 13.51 lakh (ex-showroom, all-India). In addition to this, the company has also introduced a model-year update for the Hyundai Creta with new feature additions.

The 2022 Hyundai Creta is now available in a new Denim Blue colour option and the Highline TPMS is now standard across all variants. The SX (O) trim now also gets a glossy black centre console. Furthermore, the company will offer the iMT option on the 1.5-litre petrol ‘S’ variant to further expand choices for the customers. The new S+ variant powered by a 1.4-litre T-GDi petrol engine with 7DCT now gets an additional set of features, such as –

– Rear Disc Brakes

– Electronic Stability Control (ESC)

– Power window auto up/down

Mechanically, the SUV continues to be powered by the existing petrol and diesel engine options.
