Skoda Rapid matte edition introduced in India, price starts at Rs 11.99 lakh
Skoda Auto India introduced the new Rapid Matte Edition in the country at Rs 11.99 lakh for the manual variant and Rs 13.49 lakh (ex-showroom, India) for the automatic variant. The new Skoda Rapid Matte Edition is available in an exclusive carbon steel matte color which adds to its style statement. The new Rapid Matte Edition will be powered by the same 1.0 L TSI engine mated to both manual and automatic transmissions. The Skoda Rapid retails at a starting price of Rs 7.79 lakh and ranges out at Rs 13.29 lakh for the Rapid Monte Carlo edition. The Skoda Rapid is available with only a single petrol option but with both manual and automatic transmission options.

The Skoda Rapid Matte Edition sports new features that give it a distinctive look. The new glossy black radiator grille and spoiler up front coupled with the carbon steel matte color enhances the design of the Rapid Matte Edition. The glossy black door handle is exclusively for the Rapid Matte Edition and heightens the profile. In addition, the black body side moulding accentuates the profile. At the rear, the addition of the rear diffusor, glossy black tailgate spoiler and the black trunk lip garnish gives a sporty avatar to the Rapid Matte Edition. All black alloy wheels are exclusive to the Skoda Rapid Matte Edition.
Inside, the Skoda Rapid Matte Edition features dual-tone Tellur Grey interiors and wears premium black leatherette upholstery with Alcantara inserts. The interior also sports the same 6.5-inch infotainment system with a rear-view camera. The Skoda Rapid Matte Edition is also equipped with a USB air purifier, stainless-steel scuff plates with Rapid inscription, and high visibility performance bulbs exclusively provided.
The Skoda Rapid Matte Edition comes with standard safety features such as dual airbags and ABS across its product portfolio. The safety equipment on the Skoda Rapid Matte Edition includes- rear parking sensors, anti-glare interior rear view mirror, rear windscreen defogger with timer, height adjustable three-point seatbelts at the front, rough road package and engine immobilizer with floating code system. Hyundai India launched the much-awaited Creta Knight Edition in the country at a starting price of Rs 13.51 lakh (ex-showroom, all-India).
