Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath says that he will contest assembly polls from where the party decides
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that he will contest the forthcoming assembly polls from wherever his party asks him.
Asked if he will contest next year’s state assembly polls, the BJP leader said, “I have always contested elections and I will contest from wherever the party will say.”
“The party has a parliamentary board and it decides who will contest from where,” he added.
Talking about the positive changes brought in UP during his tenure of four and a half years, CM Yogi Adityanath claimed that whatever the BJP had promised in the last assembly elections, the party has delivered.
ON LAW AND ORDER SITUATION IN UP
The chief minister claimed the law and order situation in the state was bad before the BJP came to power in 2017. He said that Uttar Pradesh has now set an example for the whole country, adding that there was no riot in the past four and half years and all festivals, including Diwali, were celebrated peacefully.
“Diwali used to be celebrated earlier too and Kumbh Mela was not organised for the first time in the state. But Uttar Pradesh was struggling with an image crisis and after 2017, the state got over the image crisis. The benefits of different schemes have reached the last man in society,” he said.
Yogi Adityanath said, “We have liberated Uttar Pradesh from the identity crisis by organising events like the Deepotsav of Ayodhya, the grand-divine Kumbh of Prayagraj, better law and order, opportunities for investment and employment, and public welfare schemes and their implementation to the last man standing in the society. Wherever the person of Uttar Pradesh goes, he will be looked upon with respect.”
UP A DESTINATION FOR INVESTMENT
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that massive investment has taken place in UP in four and a half years due to good road connectivity and guarantee of security.
“Earlier investments went out, but now investment is coming to the country from outside. Earlier people used to say that UP starts with potholes and ditches and now it is known for expressways and a network of four-lane roads,” he said.
ON PURVANCHAL EXPRESSWAY AND EMPLOYMENT GENERATION
Yogi Adityanath also said that Purvanchal Expressway is going to be inaugurated this month, adding that the expressway generated employment for 60 lakh people.
Talking about the issue of employment, Yogi Adityanath highlighted his government’s various achievements and said, “About 4.5 lakh people got jobs in a transparent manner during this period and no one could raise a finger on the recruitment process.”
FOOD GRAIN DISTRIBUTION IN UP
Referring to corruption in food distribution, the chief minister talked about the issue of food theft in many districts and referred to death of Musahars in Kushinagar due to lack of ration before March 2017.

What monkey fled with a bag containing evidence in it: Read full story
The court, generally, considers a person who commit a crime and the one who destroys the evidence, as criminals in the eyes of law. But what if an animal destroys the evidence of a crime committed by a human.
In a peculiar incident in Rajasthan, a monkey fled away with the evidence collected by the police in a murder case. The stolen evidence included the murder weapon (a blood-stained knife).
The incident came to light when the police appeared before the court and they had to provide the evidence in the hearing.
The hearing was about the crime which took place in September 2016, in which a person named Shashikant Sharma died at a primary health center under Chandwaji police station. After the body was found, the deceased’s relatives blocked the Jaipur-Delhi highway, demanding an inquiry into the matter.
Following the investigation, the police had arrested Rahul Kandera and Mohanlal Kandera, residents of Chandwaji in relation to the murder. But, when the time came to produce the evidence related to the case, it was found that the police had no evidence with them because a monkey had stolen it from them.
In the court, the police said that the knife, which was the primary evidence, was also taken by the monkey. The cops informed that the evidence of the case was kept in a bag, which was being taken to the court.
The evidence bag contained the knife and 15 other important evidences. However, due to the lack of space in the malkhana, a bag full of evidence was kept under a tree, which led to the incident.
