Shocking! Man killed his own wife in a road accident, booked
A 35-year-old man, who was driving a car in the wee hours of Monday, rammed his vehicle into a cab, killing his wife. The incident happened on Mankhurd Ghatkopar Link Road and his wife Manju was sitting beside him in the car when the tragedy occurred. Mankhurd police booked the man after a complaint was lodged by the cab driver, Mohammad Shaikh.
A report published in the Times of India (TOI) revealed that the complainant said a speedy Swift car rammed into the back of his cab. When he stopped his taxi to notice what had happened, he saw that the Swift car was completely damaged and the woman sitting in the passenger seat. Even his taxi was also badly damaged, he said.
The accused has been identified as Santosh Pal, a resident of Khalapur.
Accused booked by police
The victim, identified as Manju (23), dashed into the car’s dashboard and was badly injured, reported the Free Press Journal (FPJ). Manju was immediately taken to a nearby hospital but she succumbed to her injuries.
Pal has been booked by police for rash driving, causing death due to carelessness (304A) of the indian Penal Code (IPC) and section 184 of the Motor Vehicle Act.
