Good News! Tamil Nadu permits nursey classes, kindergarten, playschools to resume
The Tamil Nadu government has issued an official order permitting nursery classes, kindergarten, and playschools to be reopened in the state in line with the earlier announcement on Covid-19 relaxations.
As the number of Covid-19 cases is decreasing in the state, fresh guidelines have been issued:
- Exhibitions will be permitted.
- Existing restrictions on public gatherings in social, cultural, and political congregations will continue.
- Marriage and marriage-related gatherings shall be permitted with guests not exceeding 200.
- Funerals or last rites gathering shall be permitted by not exceeding 100.
- All other general instructions are to continue.
Till March 2, all other Covid-19 restrictions and relaxations will continue to exist. Earlier, the state government declared holidays till January 31 for Classes 10 to 12.
School reopening guidelines
School reopening guidelines were released by the Ministry of Education on Thursday, February 3, 2022. The guidelines have been prepared after consultation with states about the reopening of schools.
The school reopening guidelines will include precaution, timetable, assessment, emotional, and mental health.
Haryana Chief Secretary Sanjeev Kaushal shared that the construction work of six nursing colleges in the state will be completed soon and classes will commence in the month of July. Not only this, the new building of the National Institute of Fashion Technology, Panchkula has also completed its construction work.
Adding on to this, he shared that, till now, the classes are being held in another building, the chief secretary said while presiding over the review meeting of development projects worth more than Rs 100 crore here.
CHIEF SECRETARY REVIEWED MAJOR PROJECTS
The Chief Secretary reviewed several major projects, including power, health, medical, and technical education in the state, and directed the concerned officials to complete them within the stipulated time period.
COLLEGES UNDER CONSTRUCTION
He said that the construction of nursing colleges in Dherdu village of Kaithal, Khedi Ram Nagar village of Kurukshetra, Kheranwali village of Panchkula, Aura and Dayalpur village of Faridabad, and Sadatpur village of Rewari is under construction.
The construction work of Medical college in Koriawas in Narnaul, Medical College at Jind, Bhiwani, and Dental College at Nalhar is being completed at a fast pace. The work of the second phase of Kalpana Chawla Medical College is also undergoing.
