2022 Kia Seltos new features, variants
The 2022 Kia Seltos gets some mechanical updates like a new iMT clutchless manual variant to go with the 1.5-litre diesel making 115PS and 250 Nm. This is limited to HTK Plus variant. Alongside this, there is a new suspension tune for the mid-sized SUV, which may be to improve road-holding and ride quality. A more accessible HTX diesel auto variant has also been added to the lineup. Further, all automatic variants of the Seltos now get paddle shifters and drive modes. Both the Seltos and Sonet now get new badging in line with Kia’s new global theme, while the Seltos also gets new wheel covers for the base variants. The X-Line now also gets embroidered logos on the seats. There has been a significant enhancement of safety features too with the 2022 Seltos. Four airbags, TPMS, rear disc brakes, stability control, brake assist and vehicle stability management are now standard across all variants. Six airbags are now available on the HTX Plus and GTX (O) variants, up from the GTX Plus and X-Line.
2022 Kia Sonet new features, variants
For the 2022 Kia Sonet, the 4.2-inch instrument cluster display is now available from the HTX and HTX Anniversary variants onwards while part-leatherette seats are now available from the HTE variant. The fabric loop seat folder mechanism has now been upgraded to plastic knobs as well. The mid-spec Sonet HTK Plus and diesel HTK now get more safety equipment like hill assist, stability control, brake assist and vehicle stability management. The HTX Plus can now be had with six airbags. All other variants now get four airbags and TPMS as standard. Two new colour options have been added Sparkling Silver and Imperial Blue to replace the Intelligency Blue, Gold Beige and Steel Silver paint options. Both the Sonet and Seltos now get the Kia Connect suite of connected tech, replacing the earlier UVO system.
