An initiative by the riders community “Nepal Earthquake Relief Fund by Riders”
“We have all enjoyed the streets, mountain passes and cultural flavour of Nepal, and it only makes sense for us riders to ride into Nepal to aid our neighbours in this time of crisis, in the time they need us the most”. The first thought in the group by Talha Khan and he took the initiative which is now supported by Asad and Zeeshan Lari, bikerni Vartika Jain, Shivam, Avik Majumdar from Varanasi and other well known riders of the local riding group.
Keeping this thought of brotherhood in mind, we at Indian Motoring Clubs association, instead of trying to help the affected people through individual level have decided to unite the power of brotherhood of bikers and work as a team, as a riding family and help the victims in the best of our capability.
With hundreds of people feared dead in the legendary mountain country of Nepal, from an earthquake measuring almost 8 at the richter scale, we at IMCA feels that it is our solemn duty to unite fellow riders from all over India in an effort to raise money for the support of the displaced and affected people of our humble neighbours.
IMCA and other Lucknow riders have a soft corner for Nepal, for it gives the closest amazing riding experience. Valuing the importance of this, the riders are trying to connect with different riding groups and asking a representative of each group to collect the donations and assemble them to one common riding family.
Extracting the minutest details of the affected victims, we are connected with a Riding group of Nepal and would be taking their help to transfer the money to the victims as soon as possible and work as a team in rebuilding process of Nepal.
This ride is being organised just not for the help of the people of Nepal, but also to show them that we as riders are not mindless tourists, who would abandon them in times of need instead we are brothers in arms ready to help them in any way we can. The beautiful roads of Nepal we cherish and ride so often, should now be used by riders all over India to ride into the mountain country and help ease the suffering in any way we can.
Lucknow is the closest, Largest city from the epicentre and we are gathering relief material from all over India in which many riding clubs are supporting, Ramkrishna Ghosh from Kolkata, Devjeet Shah from Pune, Chandigarh Bikers and many local clubs like Nawabs on wheels, Aviators, Roaring Indians and Lucknow bullet riders are trying hard to collect funds and relief material which would be handed over to Local Riding club of Nepal who are involved in the rescue operation.
