Paris: Euro 2016 tickets are going on sale from June 10 till July 10 to the public and supporters of the qualifying teams, the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) said.

There are one million tickets available in four price categories, starting at 25 euros for 43 of the 51 matches. Fans have a month to submit their applications on the official ticketing website, since tickets will be allocated via a random selection process and not on a first come first serve basis, as per reports.

After the draw for the finals, to be held on December 12, the second phase of the sale will start with a total of 800,000 tickets available, equally distributed to the 24 qualified teams.

During the whole sale process, 25,000 tickets are reserved for people with disabilities while another 20,000 will be distributed to disadvantaged children.

Euro 2016 will take place in France from June 10 to July 10, 2016. This is the first time that 24 teams will participate in the finals instead of 16.

Sunil Gavaskar gives his opinion of GT allrounder Rahul Tewatia

The left-handed batsman from Haryana is garnering praise from all quarters for the way he’s finishing games regularly in the most exciting IPL season.

Gavaskar reckons Tewatia’s whirlwind knock in Sharjah (in IPL 2020) where he smashed West Indies pacer Sheldon Cottrell for five sixes in an over, gave him the confidence that he belongs to the big stage.

Speaking on Cricket Live on Star Sports, Gavaskar said, “That assault on Sheldon Cottrell in Sharjah gave him the belief to do the impossible and the confidence that he belongs here. We saw the impossible (he did with the bat) the other day as well. There’s no twitching or touching the pads (which shows a batter’s nervousness) when he bats in the death overs. He just waits for the ball to be delivered and plays his shots. He’s got all the shots in the book, but most importantly his temperament to stay cool in a crisis is brilliant.”

Gavaskar has also nicknamed the 28-year-old cricketer the ‘ice-man’ and lauded Tewatia’s ability to remain unruffled during the tense moments.
