Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has requested the Union Government seeking an early NoC for the proposed flyover bridge at the Tedhi Puliya crossing on the Lucknow Ring road. He also pointed out that the State Government wants to construct the flyover from its own resources on priority to resolve traffic problems on this road.

With regards to this, in his letter to the Union Road Transport,Highways and Shipping Minister Nitin Gadkari, the Chief Minister has said that there is a major traffic density on the Lucknow ring road (NH 24A) at the Tedhi Puliya crossing and the P.C.U. here is 60,000 and because of this commuters in this area have to face traffic snarl ups on a day to day basis. Keeping this in view, the state government had decided to constructed a four-lane flyover bridge here.

Because of the limited ROW (39metres) availability, for the construction of the said flyover, a request had been made to the Union Road Transport and Highways Ministry. The Chief Minister has also mentioned in the letter that he has been apprised that a consultant had been roped in by the union ministry to prepare the project. The consultant has so far only undertaken a topographical survey and a G.A.D. has been prepared, which also has not been finalized so far.

Vide a letter of the Road Transport and Highways Ministry, dated February 23,2016, has not given an NoC and apprised the state government that the construction work would be undertaken by the Ministry through its resources.Keeping in mind the growing congestion of traffic, the Chief Minister has hence requested the Union Minister to expedite the process of granting an NoC at the earliest so that work could be started at the earliest.

The court, generally, considers a person who commit a crime and the one who destroys the evidence, as criminals in the eyes of law. But what if an animal destroys the evidence of a crime committed by a human.

In a peculiar incident in Rajasthan, a monkey fled away with the evidence collected by the police in a murder case. The stolen evidence included the murder weapon (a blood-stained knife).

The incident came to light when the police appeared before the court and they had to provide the evidence in the hearing.

The hearing was about the crime which took place in September 2016, in which a person named Shashikant Sharma died at a primary health center under Chandwaji police station. After the body was found, the deceased’s relatives blocked the Jaipur-Delhi highway, demanding an inquiry into the matter.

Following the investigation, the police had arrested Rahul Kandera and Mohanlal Kandera, residents of Chandwaji in relation to the murder. But, when the time came to produce the evidence related to the case, it was found that the police had no evidence with them because a monkey had stolen it from them.

In the court, the police said that the knife, which was the primary evidence, was also taken by the monkey. The cops informed that the evidence of the case was kept in a bag, which was being taken to the court.

The evidence bag contained the knife and 15 other important evidences. However, due to the lack of space in the malkhana, a bag full of evidence was kept under a tree, which led to the incident.
