UP CM distributes free e-rickshaws to 417 rickshaw pullers in Bareilly

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav today distributed free e-rickshaws to 417 rickshaw pullers in Bareilly and flagged them off. Congratulating them on getting the new vehicles, the Chief Minister said the state government was distributing free e-rickshaws in many parts of the state and was planning to extend the drive further and ensure that rickshaw puller also retain ownership of the newly acquired vehicles.

In line with the meals @ Rs. 10 being provided to labourers in Lucknow, the Chief Minister also asked the district magistrate of Bareilly to open a canteen in the district and ensure cheap and quality food to labourers. The state government, the Chief Minister assured will extend all possible help in this endeavour.

Elaborating on the Lohia Housing Scheme being run by the state government to provide poor villagers quality housing, the Chief Minister said each house was being built at a cost of Rs. 3.05 lakh and that in coming days two lakh Lohia houses would be built. Mr Yadav also said that solar light was also being installed in these houses.He further added that in the past four years, lot of development work was done in Bareilly and mentioned the Bareilly-Haldwani, Bareilly-Budaun bypass, clearing of the roadblocks in the way of the highway.

Stressing on the need to conserve water, the Chief Minister said the state government hence was doing a lot of work to conserve and strengthen water bodies such as ponds.He also pointed out that to ensure that there was enough water in parched Bundelkhand, water was being supplied through various means in that region. Mr Yadav said that the state government had also rolled out the UP Skill Development Mission through which thousands of youngsters were being trained for employment.

The Chief Minister, on this occasions, also gave away the ‘Modern Vishvakarma’ certificates to masons.The certificates were provided to the masons for getting trained, in a drive undertaken by the Dainik Jagran, Maria Day Agro Food Pvt Ltd and IIT Roorkie, to make earthquake-resistant houses. In this training, the masons were given Rs 1000 as allowances and one tool kit each.

The Chief Minister thanked the editor of Dainik Jagran Mr. Dileep Awasthi and said that everyone should be prepared for an earthquake since it can strike anytime and making houses with better techniques can save loss of lives and property.During the function, eminent poet Mr. Waseem Bareilvi thanked Mr Yadav for nominating him to the legislative council to which Chief Minister said that his government always gave respect to intellectuals and literary figures.

After inaugurating the Bareilly-Budaun four-lane road, the Chief Minister went to the Ram Ganga tri-section at the function by road and inspected the quality of work.Also present during the function was Budaun MP Mr. Dharmendra Yadav, other people’s representatives, senior officers of the State Government and district administration and a large number of dignitaries.

The court, generally, considers a person who commit a crime and the one who destroys the evidence, as criminals in the eyes of law. But what if an animal destroys the evidence of a crime committed by a human.

In a peculiar incident in Rajasthan, a monkey fled away with the evidence collected by the police in a murder case. The stolen evidence included the murder weapon (a blood-stained knife).

The incident came to light when the police appeared before the court and they had to provide the evidence in the hearing.

The hearing was about the crime which took place in September 2016, in which a person named Shashikant Sharma died at a primary health center under Chandwaji police station. After the body was found, the deceased’s relatives blocked the Jaipur-Delhi highway, demanding an inquiry into the matter.

Following the investigation, the police had arrested Rahul Kandera and Mohanlal Kandera, residents of Chandwaji in relation to the murder. But, when the time came to produce the evidence related to the case, it was found that the police had no evidence with them because a monkey had stolen it from them.

In the court, the police said that the knife, which was the primary evidence, was also taken by the monkey. The cops informed that the evidence of the case was kept in a bag, which was being taken to the court.

The evidence bag contained the knife and 15 other important evidences. However, due to the lack of space in the malkhana, a bag full of evidence was kept under a tree, which led to the incident.
