UP CM inaugurates Budaun-Bareilly four-lane road
Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav on Monday inaugurated the 48.80 km long four-lane road between Budaun-Bareilly, built at a cost of Rs. 244.346 crore. Other than this he announced setting up of a para-medical college after the setting up of a state medical college in the district. He also announced to make Budaun-Gunnar road 4-lane and setting up of two new power sub-stations in the district.
The Chief Minister was today speaking at a mammoth public rally organised near the Dataganj square in Budaun after inaugurating 71 projects worth Rs. 450.174 crore and laying the foundation stones of four projects worth Rs. 130.789 crore. Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister said that after the inauguration of the four-lane road, the distance between Budaun and Bareilly would be reduced considerably.
Mr. Yadav also underlined how after the construction of a government medical college, the poor, people from the weaker sections and those in need would get prompt and good treatment. He also mentioned the 102 and 108 ambulance services being run by the state government which were proving to be a great boon, especially in the countryside.
He also said that very soon no poor woman in the state would be left who is not getting the benefits of the Samajwadi Pension Scheme. He also informed that number of beneficiaries under this social security scheme had been enhanced to 55 lakh. The Chief Minister lauded the people of Budaun and said that it has been home to many eminent Sufi saints and said that it was because of this that communal harmony in the district had been maintained.
The Chief Minister also informed the gathering how the state government, through its limited funds and resources had rolled out help and relief to farmers facing drought and floods. He also heaped praise on Budaun MP Mr. Dharmendra Yadav for fast-tracking development in the district. The Chief Minister also stated that for further progress of the district, work was being done to make an Emperor Ashoka Buddha tourist spot.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister gave away 310 meritorious students free laptops, 500 labourers registered with the labour department free cycles, 500 new beneficiaries cheques under the Samajwadi pension Scheme, certificates to youth trained under the UP Skill Development Mission. Cheques worth Rs. 15.75 lakh were distributed to 105 groups under many blocks formed under the Livelihood Mission and 50 groups of 11 village organizations cheques worth Rs. 55.70 lakh under CIF. He also expressed his desire for their prosperity.
On this occasion, the MP Mr. Dharmendra Yadav said that because of the developmental works initiated by the Samajwadi government in the state, the state was zipping ahead on the path of prosperity and progress. MoS for rural development Mr. Omkar Singh said that the state government has fulfilled all its promises made in the election manifesto. Also, present at the event were many people’s representatives, MPs, legislators and senior officers of the district administration and the state government.

What monkey fled with a bag containing evidence in it: Read full story
The court, generally, considers a person who commit a crime and the one who destroys the evidence, as criminals in the eyes of law. But what if an animal destroys the evidence of a crime committed by a human.
In a peculiar incident in Rajasthan, a monkey fled away with the evidence collected by the police in a murder case. The stolen evidence included the murder weapon (a blood-stained knife).
The incident came to light when the police appeared before the court and they had to provide the evidence in the hearing.
The hearing was about the crime which took place in September 2016, in which a person named Shashikant Sharma died at a primary health center under Chandwaji police station. After the body was found, the deceased’s relatives blocked the Jaipur-Delhi highway, demanding an inquiry into the matter.
Following the investigation, the police had arrested Rahul Kandera and Mohanlal Kandera, residents of Chandwaji in relation to the murder. But, when the time came to produce the evidence related to the case, it was found that the police had no evidence with them because a monkey had stolen it from them.
In the court, the police said that the knife, which was the primary evidence, was also taken by the monkey. The cops informed that the evidence of the case was kept in a bag, which was being taken to the court.
The evidence bag contained the knife and 15 other important evidences. However, due to the lack of space in the malkhana, a bag full of evidence was kept under a tree, which led to the incident.
