Akhilesh Yadav: Economic situation in Uttar Pradesh has improved considerably

Lucknow: Due to the efforts of the Samajwadi Government in the past four years, under the leadership of Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, economic situation in the state has improved considerably in the last four year.

Basic facilities and welfare schemes have ensured that the lifestyle of the people has become better and the economic development and per capita income has also increased. He added that the data and statistics of the education, health, agri-produce, irrigation and agriculture based activities show clearly that the rural and urban economies in the state are much better placed than they were in 2012-13.

Giving this information, a state government spokesman said that the GDP of the state has increased by 2.7% as compared to 2012-13. The development rate in the state in 2012-13 was 3.9 per cent which has increased to 6.6% in 2015-16. A considerable progress has also been recorded in NSDP – from 3.7% in 2012-13 it has increased to 6.5% in 2015-16.The per capita income in the state in 2012-13 was Rs. 35,358 which has now grown to Rs. 48,584 in 2015-16. This amply proves that the effect of the present state government’s development projects has started reflecting on the economy of the state.

According to the spokesman, the state government has worked in all sectors. He informed that the admission ratio of students in senior basic schools in 2012 was 57.17, in 2015 it has increased to 65.95. In the same manner, it is good to note that the number of school drop outs has come down from 49% in 2012 to 39 % in 2015.The state, the spokesman pointed out,depended on rural economy and stated that the present state government has declared the present year the ‘Year of the Farmer’ which has strengthened the rural economy.

While the average produce per hectare in 2012 was 23.91 quintals, in the year 2015 the produce was 25.11 quintals Similarly, the share of commercial crops in the total sowed land increased by 258 per cent. The state government spokesman also said that the state government had rolled out many development projects to boost up the state’s economy. These include the Agra-Lucknow Expressway,Samajwadi-Poorvanchal Expressway, Lucknow Metro’s construction and dairy plants being established in Kanpur by Amul.

The court, generally, considers a person who commit a crime and the one who destroys the evidence, as criminals in the eyes of law. But what if an animal destroys the evidence of a crime committed by a human.

In a peculiar incident in Rajasthan, a monkey fled away with the evidence collected by the police in a murder case. The stolen evidence included the murder weapon (a blood-stained knife).

The incident came to light when the police appeared before the court and they had to provide the evidence in the hearing.

The hearing was about the crime which took place in September 2016, in which a person named Shashikant Sharma died at a primary health center under Chandwaji police station. After the body was found, the deceased’s relatives blocked the Jaipur-Delhi highway, demanding an inquiry into the matter.

Following the investigation, the police had arrested Rahul Kandera and Mohanlal Kandera, residents of Chandwaji in relation to the murder. But, when the time came to produce the evidence related to the case, it was found that the police had no evidence with them because a monkey had stolen it from them.

In the court, the police said that the knife, which was the primary evidence, was also taken by the monkey. The cops informed that the evidence of the case was kept in a bag, which was being taken to the court.

The evidence bag contained the knife and 15 other important evidences. However, due to the lack of space in the malkhana, a bag full of evidence was kept under a tree, which led to the incident.
