Try these tips to make your Holi safe and more colorful this year

Lucknow: In order to keep intact the joy and happiness of Holi we need to follow certain rules. No one wants to experience any kind of displeasing incidents in middle of fun and joy. Hence to make holi more happy and free from any bad experiences try to follow these points given below.

 

 

* Herbal colors are always the best. Try avoiding chemical based and Grease based even better if you use branded colours.

 

 

* Try to wear Full clothes, so harmful chemicals mixed in holi colours not reached sensitive body parts.

 

 

* Apply coconut oil in hair and petroleum jelly on whole body before start playing with colours.

 

 

* Thick coating of nail paint should be applied on nails to protect them from colours.

 

 

* Never rub your face; if you do this you get rashes and burn sensations. So try to use cleansing cream or home product like Gram Flour (Besan).

* Never drive a vehicle when you are high on alcohol.

 

 

* Always be prepared with a first aid box containing basic skin healing ointments and anti-allergic medicines for those who are allergic to colours and gulaal.

 

 

* Avoid taking bath again and again. Take a bath much later after the entire Holi celebration is over. Frequent baths, washing the face again and again with soap/shampoo has a drying effect.

 

 

* Eyes are extremely vulnerable on Holi make sure that powder or any other product does not get inside your eyes. Ensure that your eyes remain protected at all times. Use a sunglass to protect your eyes from a misfire of colour filled darts or water jets.

 

 

* Permanent dyes are very harmful for hair and skin. If someone has applied it on you, do not rub the face with soap immediately in order to get rid off it, especially when it is wet. Use good quality cleansing milk for removal.

 

 

* Keep handy pain killers, anti-oxidants, anti-allergic tablets and first aid box in case of any emergency.

 

 

* In case you experience face rashes or skin discomfort immediately see the dermatologist.

Covid toll in Karnataka is a worrying sign for state government

Even though Karnataka recorded the lowest number of Covid deaths in April since the virus struck first in 2020, the state is recording a rise in the positivity rate (1.50 per cent). Five people died from the Covid infections in April as per the statistics released by the state health department. In March, the positivity rate stood around 0.53 per cent. In the first week of April it came down to 0.38 per cent, second week registered 0.56 per cent, third week it rose to 0.79 per cent and by end of April the Covid positivity rate touched 1.19 per cent.
