IGNOU announces Admission opens for July 2018 session
New Delhi: The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) today announced admissions to its various Bachelor and Master’s degree programmes for the July 2018 academic session.
Last date of submission of online admission form is July 15.
Programmes offered in MA are Philosophy, Gandhi & Peace Studies, Development Studies, Anthropology, Gender & Development Studies and Psychology among others.

Other Master’s programme are Master of Social Work (MSW), Master of Social Work (Counselling), Master of Tourism and Travel Management (MTTM), Master of Commerce (M.Com), Master of Computer Applications (MCA), Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS), M.Sc (Dietetics and Food Services Management), MA (Translation Studies), and M.Sc (Counselling and Family Therapy).
Bachelors courses include BA (Tourism Studies), Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA), Bachelor of Library and Information Science (BLIS), and Bachelor of Social Work (BSW).
The university is also offering some B.Com and M.Com programmes in collaboration with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, Institute of Company Secretaries of India and Institute of Cost Accountants of India, it said in a statement.
First time applicants are advised to click the available programme tab on the homepage of the Online Admission System and select the desired programme and carefully read the details of programme including eligibility criteria, fee details and duration.

As many as six new nursing colleges to be functional in Haryana soon
Haryana Chief Secretary Sanjeev Kaushal shared that the construction work of six nursing colleges in the state will be completed soon and classes will commence in the month of July. Not only this, the new building of the National Institute of Fashion Technology, Panchkula has also completed its construction work.
Adding on to this, he shared that, till now, the classes are being held in another building, the chief secretary said while presiding over the review meeting of development projects worth more than Rs 100 crore here.
CHIEF SECRETARY REVIEWED MAJOR PROJECTS
The Chief Secretary reviewed several major projects, including power, health, medical, and technical education in the state, and directed the concerned officials to complete them within the stipulated time period.
COLLEGES UNDER CONSTRUCTION
He said that the construction of nursing colleges in Dherdu village of Kaithal, Khedi Ram Nagar village of Kurukshetra, Kheranwali village of Panchkula, Aura and Dayalpur village of Faridabad, and Sadatpur village of Rewari is under construction.
The construction work of Medical college in Koriawas in Narnaul, Medical College at Jind, Bhiwani, and Dental College at Nalhar is being completed at a fast pace. The work of the second phase of Kalpana Chawla Medical College is also undergoing.
