But have you ever been taught that crying can improve your mental as well as physical health, shocked!  Yes this is true that crying improves your health.

Crying as a self soothing behavior:

Research study held in Croatia, says that crying is a self soothing behavior. Self soothing behavior means to sooth,calm and relax you when you are upset and also reduces negative emotions. Study shows that it helps in bringing back homeostasis by providing a relief and improves your mood.

Crying improves your mood:

Our old literature saw crying as Catharsis, which means the process of expressing strong feeling, as crying is often a stress buster and helps in improving our mood and removes negative experience or emotions. Another study found that people who cried after a negative emotional experience felt much better post crying than those who did not. So it can be said that crying helps in improving ones mood.

Crying cleanses your eye:

Tears contain lysozyme, which functions as an antiviral and antibacterial agent that nourishes and protect your eyes. Tears produced by crying, helps to wash out the eye. The glucose present in tear helps to nourish the eye and inside of the eyelid.

Crying helps in removing stress. Research shows that crying can prevent damage to the heart as they are stress buster.

Covid toll in Karnataka is a worrying sign for state government

Even though Karnataka recorded the lowest number of Covid deaths in April since the virus struck first in 2020, the state is recording a rise in the positivity rate (1.50 per cent). Five people died from the Covid infections in April as per the statistics released by the state health department. In March, the positivity rate stood around 0.53 per cent. In the first week of April it came down to 0.38 per cent, second week registered 0.56 per cent, third week it rose to 0.79 per cent and by end of April the Covid positivity rate touched 1.19 per cent.

Health experts said that the mutated Coronavirus is losing its fierce characteristics as vaccination, better treatment facilities and awareness among the people have contributed to the lesser number of Covid deaths.
