To prevent corona infection Masks have been mandated and police,doctors, paramedical staff as well as others are required to apply masks for a long time in such a situation.Due to wearing masks continuously some people are experiencing congestion and suffocation.Scientists from the National Botanical Research Institute (NBRI) have prepared an herbal decongestant spray salvage with this problem . After tested on many people this spray, its results have been very good. Those wearing masks have got tremendous comfort. The institute will soon transfer its technology.

Dr. Sharad Srivastava, Principal Scientist of NBRI, says that some people face difficulty when wearing masks for a long time caused them to feel tightness and difficulty in breathing. Many people have also been exposed to suffocation from masking or individual. He said that this decongestant spray would be very helpful for such people. As a trial, some policemen and doctors were given to use, whose response has been very good. He told that this spray prepared from medicinal and aromatic plants is completely safe. It is sprayed on the mask only once, then using this mask opens the nasal and respiratory system.After this, people do not have any difficulty in breathing. This spray has been prepared based on the new guidelines of the Ministry of AYUSH. The institute will soon transfer its technology. Dr. Srivastava said that this is the first product of its kind, using which people will be able to wear masks easily. This will not cause any congestion while wearing masks.

Covid toll in Karnataka is a worrying sign for state government

Even though Karnataka recorded the lowest number of Covid deaths in April since the virus struck first in 2020, the state is recording a rise in the positivity rate (1.50 per cent). Five people died from the Covid infections in April as per the statistics released by the state health department. In March, the positivity rate stood around 0.53 per cent. In the first week of April it came down to 0.38 per cent, second week registered 0.56 per cent, third week it rose to 0.79 per cent and by end of April the Covid positivity rate touched 1.19 per cent.

Health experts said that the mutated Coronavirus is losing its fierce characteristics as vaccination, better treatment facilities and awareness among the people have contributed to the lesser number of Covid deaths.

During the 4th and 6th of April two deaths were reported in Bengaluru, one in Gadag district on April 8, two deaths were reported from Belagavi and Vijayapura on April 30. The first Covid case was reported in the state in March 2020 and three Covid deaths were recorded in the month.
