Students, states against Class 12 board exams
Many student organizations and unions have expressed their discontent regarding the decision of the central government to conduct the Class 12 board exams in the middle of the pandemic situation, stating that this will put students at risk.
Students have also said that since all schools and educational institutes have been closed for almost one year, all classes have been conducted online, which is not accessible to all, and thus, the conduction of exams will not be fair to all the students.
While talking to TOI, TN Education Minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi said, “The Central government mainly discussed conducting CBSE Class 12 Board Exams 2021 and whether to conduct the exams in July or August. Each state gave their viewpoints depending on the prevailing pandemic situation.”
