Despite the Covid-19 pandemic, Bajaj Auto records hike in auto sales
Many automobile companies suffered huge losses amid the covid-19 pandemic, but just the opposite happened to Bajaj automobiles. Not just they sold better than their competitors, they also recorded a hike of 114 percent in their sales.
Bajaj Auto registered sales of 2,71,862 units, with an increase of 114 percent in its total vehicle sales this year compared to the month of May last year. Bajaj Auto said in a statement that the company had sold 1,27,128 vehicles in May last year. The company said that in terms of total domestic sales, 60,830 units i.e. 52 percent growth was registered this month as compared to 40,074 units sold in May 2020, while total exports grew by 142 percent in May 2021 as compared to 87,054 units in May 2020. became 11,032 units.
During the month of May, domestic two wheeler sales stood at 60,342 units, a growth of 54 per cent as compared to 39,286 two wheelers sold in May last year, while exports grew by 145 per cent to 180,212 units as against 73,512 units exported in May 2020 Were. Commercial vehicle sales, including exports, were 31,308 units in May 2021, a 118 percent increase from 14,330 vehicles in the same month of 2020.
