Former Sri Lanka captain and opener Sanath Jayasuriya is regarded as one of the most talented all-rounders to play cricket but the explosive left-handed batsman’s personal life has always remained mired in controversies which overshadowed his superb career.

In 2017, Jayasuriya sparked a huge controversy when he was accused of leaking the sex tape of his then girlfriend Maleeka Sirisena. The sex tape allegeDly shows Jayasuriya together with his former girlfriend adnd it was circulated widely on WhatsApp and other social media platforms. Several reports claimed that Jayasuriya decided to release the sex tape to take revenge from Sisisena.

Maleeka is the wife of a business tycoon and she had blamed Jayasuriya for the leak of the sex tape. Maleeka also claimed that she was engaged to Jayasuriya and the engagement ceremony took place in a small temple.

The sex tape incident was first reported by Colombo Telegraph. It is to be noted that the former Sri Lankan skipper got married thrice but all three of his marriages failed. Jayasuriya first tied the knot in 1998 with Air Sri Lanka’s ground hostess Sumudu Karunanayak but the marriage ended after just a year.

Jayasuriya then got married to air hostess Sandra De Silva in 2000 and the couple were blessed with three children. But the former Mumbai Indians player started dating Maleeka in 2012 and divorced her second wife Sandra De Silva due to his affair.

Jayasuriya was Sri Lanka’s opener when they lifted the World Cup. He has played 586 internationals – 110 Tests, 445 ODIs, and 31 T20Is – over two decades, and smashed 42 centuries. He has also claimed 440 wickets across the three formats.

What monkey fled with a bag containing evidence in it: Read full story

The court, generally, considers a person who commit a crime and the one who destroys the evidence, as criminals in the eyes of law. But what if an animal destroys the evidence of a crime committed by a human.

In a peculiar incident in Rajasthan, a monkey fled away with the evidence collected by the police in a murder case. The stolen evidence included the murder weapon (a blood-stained knife).

The incident came to light when the police appeared before the court and they had to provide the evidence in the hearing.

The hearing was about the crime which took place in September 2016, in which a person named Shashikant Sharma died at a primary health center under Chandwaji police station. After the body was found, the deceased’s relatives blocked the Jaipur-Delhi highway, demanding an inquiry into the matter.

Following the investigation, the police had arrested Rahul Kandera and Mohanlal Kandera, residents of Chandwaji in relation to the murder. But, when the time came to produce the evidence related to the case, it was found that the police had no evidence with them because a monkey had stolen it from them.

In the court, the police said that the knife, which was the primary evidence, was also taken by the monkey. The cops informed that the evidence of the case was kept in a bag, which was being taken to the court.

The evidence bag contained the knife and 15 other important evidences. However, due to the lack of space in the malkhana, a bag full of evidence was kept under a tree, which led to the incident.
