Design
Well, the design of the Ducati Diavel 1260 S Black and Steel Edition remains the same as the other models. It gets a full-LED headlamp, a large fuel tank, and a single-piece upswept seat designed to show off the massive rear tyre. But what sets the Black and Steel Edition apart is the colour scheme that has been inspired by the Diavel Materico showcased during the 2019 Milan Design Week.
The motorcycle foregoes the Ducati Red for a combination of grey and matte black with yellow- a colour that was an integral part of nearly every Ducati’s palette a couple of decades ago. The frame is finished in yellow and the colour is subtly highlighted on the wheels, belly, seat badging and lower part of the tail.
Engine
The Black and Steel Edition, just like the other variants in the Diavel 1260 range comes powered by a 1262cc, L-twin motor that is capable of churning out a neck-breaking 157.3bhp and 129Nm. The engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox and gets a quickshifter as standard.
Hardware
Since the Diavel 1260 Black and Steel Edition is based on the Diavel 1260 S, it gets all the top-spec bells and whistles. Suspension duties are taken care of fully-adjustable Ohlins for the front and rear while braking is done by powerful Brembo M50 calipers at the front.
Features
And just like the other models in the range, the Ducati Diavel 1260 S Black and Steel comes loaded with features like full-LED lighting and a colour TFT screen with Ducati Multimedia System. It also gets multiple riding modes, riding modes, power modes, traction control system, cornering ABS, wheelie control, launch control and cruise control.
