Upcoming Chinese smartphone Oppo Reno 6Z specifications leaked: Read here
Oppo, the smartphone manufacturing giant, is gearing up to bring another smartphone in its Reno 6 series, the Reno 6Z. Oppo recently unveiled the Reno6 lineup in China, which includes the Reno 6, the Reno 6 Pro, and the Reno6 Pro+. Now it seems the company is planning to launch a more affordable variant Reno 6Z.
Fresh leaks by tipster Abhishek Yadav have revealed some key specifications of the upcoming Reno 6Z handset. It is likely to be powered by the Dimensity 800U chipset with a 60Hz refresh rate display. Further, the tipster suggests that the smartphone might feature a 30W fast charging. However, there is no word on the battery capacity of the Reno 6Z yet.
These are the only specifications we know so far, however, these leaked specifications reveal that the upcoming smartphone could be similar to the predecessor Reno 5Z. The Oppo Reno 5Z is also powered by a Dimensity 800U chipset and has a 6.43-inch S-AMOLED FHD+ display. It also has 8GB of RAM and 128GB of built-in storage. The Oppo Reno 6Z is possible could improve on these specifications.
The Reno 6 Pro and the Reno 6 Pro+ share the same screen features that include a 6.55-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a resolution of 2400×1080 pixels with a 90Hz refresh rate. The Reno6 Pro and Pro+ punch-hole cutout design and corning gorilla glass 5 protection.
The MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC powers the Reno 6 Pro. Whereas the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chipset powers the Pro+ variant. Both the smartphones are powered by a 4500 mAh battery and support 65W fast charging.
There is no exact time frame for the launch but, the Reno 6Z could be launched in September as the Oppo Reno 6 series was unveiled just last month in China and is yet to be launched in global markets.
In the latest development, OnePlus has revealed that the company will be merging many of its teams with Oppo to bring better products to their customers. OnePlus had already merged its hardware R&D team with Oppo at the beginning of this year. Seeing the benefits of the merger, the two companies are further deepening this merger.
However, despite multiple OnePlus and Oppo teams merging together, OnePlus will continue to operate independently as a brand. This means OnePlus will continue to have a different product lineup than Oppo.
