Former Pakistan wicketkeeper comes in support of Virat Kohli after India lost WTC under his captaincy
Ever since India lost the World Test Championship final to New Zealand, skipper Virat Kohli has been receiving a lot of criticism, with many demanding him be stripped of the captaincy duties and replaced by someone like Ajinkya Rahane in Test cricket and Rohit Sharma in the limited-overs format.
While the anger of the fans can be understood because they saw their team bow out of the knockout stage of yet another ICC tournament, blaming Kohli or any other player, for that matter, for Team India’s disappointing performance shouldn’t be encouraged as it’s a team game and only combined performance can help you to glory.
With Kohli receiving heavy criticism, Pakistan wicketkeeper-batsman Kamran Akmal has come out in defence of the Indian skipper saying he is a “fantastic captain” and he can’t be blamed solely for the team’s failure.
“Virat Kohli is a big player and a fantastic captain. He is aggressive and very emotional. Any captain who has come in has only taken Indian cricket forward. It started with Sourav Ganguly, then Rahul Dravid and MS Dhoni took over,” Akmal said on a YouTube channel.
Yes, everyone has complained that Virat Kohli hasn’t won any ICC trophy. But, apart from that, he has won almost everything. India have won so many series under Virat Kohli. He has been a bit unlucky, but I have no doubt over his captaincy credentials. He is a great captain and match-winner,” Akmal said.
There is no doubt over Kohli’s credentials as a batsman but it is often forgotten that he is India’s most successful Test skipper ever and has guided the team to several remarkable bi-lateral series victories both home and abroad.

What monkey fled with a bag containing evidence in it: Read full story
The court, generally, considers a person who commit a crime and the one who destroys the evidence, as criminals in the eyes of law. But what if an animal destroys the evidence of a crime committed by a human.
In a peculiar incident in Rajasthan, a monkey fled away with the evidence collected by the police in a murder case. The stolen evidence included the murder weapon (a blood-stained knife).
The incident came to light when the police appeared before the court and they had to provide the evidence in the hearing.
The hearing was about the crime which took place in September 2016, in which a person named Shashikant Sharma died at a primary health center under Chandwaji police station. After the body was found, the deceased’s relatives blocked the Jaipur-Delhi highway, demanding an inquiry into the matter.
Following the investigation, the police had arrested Rahul Kandera and Mohanlal Kandera, residents of Chandwaji in relation to the murder. But, when the time came to produce the evidence related to the case, it was found that the police had no evidence with them because a monkey had stolen it from them.
In the court, the police said that the knife, which was the primary evidence, was also taken by the monkey. The cops informed that the evidence of the case was kept in a bag, which was being taken to the court.
The evidence bag contained the knife and 15 other important evidences. However, due to the lack of space in the malkhana, a bag full of evidence was kept under a tree, which led to the incident.
