Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi announces access Mi Ultra 11 for Indian fans: Read here
After a wait of months, Xiaomi fans in India will finally be able to get their hands on a Mi 11 Ultra unit. The company’s flagship smartphone was launched in April this year but never made its way to India up until now.
Xiaomi took to Twitter recently to announce the arrival of its flagship smartphone to the country. The company confirmed that registrations for the “Superphone” are now open and that it is coming to India in a limited quantity sale. No date for the sale has been announced yet though. As per our earlier speculations, the sale might be held in early July.
Interested buyers can purchase the smartphone in two ways – by spending money, or participating in a challenge. The first option requires buyers to purchase an ultra gift card from Xiaomi at a price of Rs 1,999. Those having the ultra gift card get guaranteed access to the limited quantity sale of the Mi 11 Ultra. Buyers of the card will get an F-code on the day of the sale through which it can be accessed. The F-code will reflect under the account section of the buyer’s Mi account and will be valid for 24 hours.
Xiaomi tells us that the amount of Rs 1,999 paid for the ultra gift card will be reduced later when the Gift code promo is applied. There are additional benefits to the card like free screen replacements, Mi ultra merchandise and more. Xiaomi says that the ultra gift card is available until stocks last.
The other way to get access to the limited quantity sale is to participate in the ultra challenge and gain a wildcard entry. There will be a total of three ultra challenges, the first of which requires participants to submit a response to the question – “What makes you a Superfan?” Lucky winners will get direct entry to the sale.
Participants can post their responses on social media using hashtags specified on Xiaomi’s website. Ultra challenge 2 and ultra challenge 3 are yet to be announced by the company. It is expected that few winners from each round will be granted access to the sale.
For those unaware, Mi 11 Ultra is Xiaomi’s flagship smartphone that retails for a starting price of Rs 69,999. As highlights, it features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor, 12GB RAM, WQHD+ AMOLED display and a triple-lens camera setup at the back.
