German automaker Audi launches new car in India, price starts at Rs 1.04 crore: See pics inside
Audi today launched the new RS 5 Sportback in India at an introductory price of Rs 1.04 crore (ex-showroom). To enter the country via the CBU route, the Audi RS 5 Sportback follows the introduction of the Audi e-tron. which is priced between Rs 99.99 lakh and Rs 1.18 crore (ex-showroom).
At the heart of the new RS 5 Sportback is a 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6 TFSI petrol engine that develops 450hp of maximum power and 600Nm of peak torque. The motor is capable of pushing the car from standstill to 100kmph in 3.9 seconds with the claimed top speed being 250kmph. The Audi RS 5 Sportback gets the Quattro permanent AWD with self-locking centre differential. Also available are a couple of RS modes.
The new RS 5 Sportback comes with an RS-specific glossy black honeycomb grille flanked by Matrix LED headlamps. There are LED combination lamps at the rear. The car sits on 19-inch 10-spoke alloy wheels. It gets RS bumpers, frameless doors and panoramic sunroof. The customers can choose from eight exterior colour options — Nardo Grey, Daytona Grey, Turbo Blue, Tango Red, Mythos Black, Glacier White, Navarra Blue and Sonoma Green.
The cabin of the Audi RS 5 Sportback boasts a black and rock grey theme with Alcantara leather material and aluminium inlays. The front seats have adjustable lumbar support with a massage function. Additionally, the driver’s seat has a memory function for the adjustment settings. The car is equipped with a 3-spoke multifunction leather steering wheel having shift paddles, Audi Virtual Cockpit Plus, and MMI Navigation Plus with MMI Touch displaying maps and directions, and engine and transmission temperatures, among others. It also gets 3-zone air-conditioning, six airbags, cruise control with speed limiter and a 180W Audi sound system with 10 speakers and Bluetooth interface.

Hyundai India launched the much-awaited Creta Knight Edition in the country at a starting price of Rs 13.51 lakh (ex-showroom, all-India). The 2022 Hyundai Creta is now available in a new Denim Blue colour option and the Highline TPMS is now standard across all variants. The SX (O) trim now also gets a glossy black centre console. Furthermore, the company will offer the iMT option on the 1.5-litre petrol ‘S’ variant to further expand choices for the customers. The new S+ variant powered by a 1.4-litre T-GDi petrol engine with 7DCT now gets an additional set of features, such as –
