Newly launched MG Hector Shine is grabbing everyone’s attention: Check it out

MG Motor India has added a new variant — Shine — to the Hector line-up. Launched at a starting price of Rs 14.52 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), the new Shine variant of the MG Hector sits between Super and Smart variants.

The MG Hector has three engine options — 1.5-litre turbo-petrol (143PS of maximum power and 250Nm of peak torque), 1.5-litre turbo-petrol hybrid (143PS of maximum power and 250Nm of peak torque) and 2.0-litre diesel (170PS of maximum power and 350Nm of maximum torque). A 6-speed MT is standard across all the engines, while the petrol unit (excluding hybrid) gets additional DCT automatic and CVT automatic options.

With the introduction of the new Shine variant, the MG Hector is now available in as many as five variants — Style, Super, Shine, Smart and Sharp. Below are their prices (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Style MT – Rs 13.50 lakh

Super MT – Rs 14.17 lakh

Shine MT – Rs 14.52 lakh

Shine CVT – Rs 15.72 lakh

The MG Hector Shine is being offered in a new Havana Grey exterior colour option. It is equipped with features like an electric sunroof, chrome door handles, 17-inch alloy wheels, 10.4-inch HD touchscreen AVN system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, electric parking brake, push-button start/stop, smart entry and telescopic steering, among others. MG Motor India is also offering a curated accessories package, which includes leatherette seat and steering wheel covers, window sunshades, air purifier, wireless phone charging, and 3D cabin mats, with the new variant.

With the MG Shield, the new Hector Shine gets a five-year/unlimited-kilometre warranty, five-year roadside assistance and five labour-free services.

Hyundai India launched the much-awaited Creta Knight Edition in the country at a starting price of Rs 13.51 lakh (ex-showroom, all-India). In addition to this, the company has also introduced a model-year update for the Hyundai Creta with new feature additions.

The 2022 Hyundai Creta is now available in a new Denim Blue colour option and the Highline TPMS is now standard across all variants. The SX (O) trim now also gets a glossy black centre console. Furthermore, the company will offer the iMT option on the 1.5-litre petrol ‘S’ variant to further expand choices for the customers. The new S+ variant powered by a 1.4-litre T-GDi petrol engine with 7DCT now gets an additional set of features, such as –
