Cheteshwar Pujara finally accepted Ravichandran Ashwin’s challenge and smashed a six against a spinner.

On the second day of the second Test at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, the 33-year-old latched on a half-tracker from Ajaz Patel and pulled it over the mid-wicket for a maximum. It was his first six in two years. His last one was against South Africa in 2019.

Earlier this year, before the Test series against England, India off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin had challenged Pujara to hit a six off any spinner.

In a conversation with Indiaโ€™s batting coach Vikram Rathour on his official YouTube channel, Ashwin said he will shave half his moustache and come out to play if Pujara completes the challenge.

โ€œWill we ever see Pujara hit an off-spinner over the top?โ€ asked Ashwin.

To this, Rathour replied: โ€œWork-in-progress. Iโ€™m trying to convince him that at least once go over the top. He is still not convinced, He is giving me great reasons.โ€

After Rathourโ€™s response, Ashwin has posed an โ€˜open challengeโ€™ for the Indian batsman.

โ€œIf he goes over the top against Moeen Ali or any other spinner stepping down the wicket in this English series that we gonna play, I will take half my moustache out and come to play the game. This is an open challenge,โ€ Ashwin opens up about his challenge.

To this Rathour, replied: โ€œThatโ€™s a great challenge to put across. Letโ€™s hope that he takes it up. I donโ€™t think he will take it up,โ€ Rathour said.

The court, generally, considers a person who commit a crime and the one who destroys the evidence, as criminals in the eyes of law. But what if an animal destroys the evidence of a crime committed by a human.

In a peculiar incident in Rajasthan, a monkey fled away with the evidence collected by the police in a murder case. The stolen evidence included the murder weapon (a blood-stained knife).

The incident came to light when the police appeared before the court and they had to provide the evidence in the hearing.

The hearing was about the crime which took place in September 2016, in which a person named Shashikant Sharma died at a primary health center under Chandwaji police station. After the body was found, the deceased’s relatives blocked the Jaipur-Delhi highway, demanding an inquiry into the matter.

Following the investigation, the police had arrested Rahul Kandera and Mohanlal Kandera, residents of Chandwaji in relation to the murder. But, when the time came to produce the evidence related to the case, it was found that the police had no evidence with them because a monkey had stolen it from them.

In the court, the police said that the knife, which was the primary evidence, was also taken by the monkey. The cops informed that the evidence of the case was kept in a bag, which was being taken to the court.

The evidence bag contained the knife and 15 other important evidences. However, due to the lack of space in the malkhana, a bag full of evidence was kept under a tree, which led to the incident.
