Great News! Benelli TRK 251 launched at Rs 2.51 lakh

Published

on

Priced at Rs 2.51 lakh (ex-showroom), the recently launched Benelli TRK 251 steps in as not only the smallest capacity adventure-series bike from Benelli for India, but also the company’s most affordable motorcycle for our country as well. Its pricing also means that the TRK 251 competes head-on with the KTM 250 Adventure, which currently costs Rs 2.3 lakh (ex-showroom) for limited time period. The TRK 251 takes much of its styling cues from its bigger siblings like the TRK 502 and TRK 502X and exhibits many of the ADV styling traits like a pointy beak, a large windscreen, an exposed frame, a heavily-sculpted fuel tank and more. In terms of features TRK 251 comes equipped with a LED headlamp, fully digital LCD instrument console that displays a revs, speed, level of fuel, gear position, time and trips as well as duel channel ABS.© Provided by OverdriveLike many of the small-capacity ADVs to have been launched in India in the recent past, the TRK 251 is a primarily a road-biased tourer, and a good indication of it being so are its 17-inch f/r alloy wheels shod with Metzeler Sportec road tyres. Also, the bike stands just 170mm clear off the ground, which is quite low by ADV standards, but it does come with a large 18-litre fuel tank, which should really allow it to go the distance.Powering the TRK 251 is the same 250cc, single-cylinder engine which powered the Leoncino-250 – a motorcycle that was sold in India at one point of time. The motor churns out 25.8 PS of peak power and 21.1 Nm of peak torque, which is lower than the 30PS and 24Nm its direct competition the KTM 250 puts down. The Benelli TRK 251 will be available in three colour options – Glossy White, Glossy Black and Glossy Grey and somes with with 3-Year Unlimited Kilometre Warranty as Standard. Bookings for the bike can be done both, online and offline for Rs 6,000.
