As the world continues to steer towards a dominating digital space, cybersecurity has become the prime concern for all parties involved in this web world. We live in an age where all our personal data is available at the touch of our hand, courtesy the technology we have at our disposal.
However, that also means that consumers are more vulnerable to falling prey to unwanted scams as well. Google has recently acknowledged and lauded the work done by Aman Pandey, an Indian cybersecurity researcher whose efforts have led to him reporting and submitting vulnerabilities in Android, thus making the OS safer for users.
Google has rewarded Aman Pandey from Bugsmirror as the top-most researcher for reporting and submitting vulnerabilities. He submitted 232 vulnerabilities in 2021.
Bugsmirror was founded by Aman Pandey in Indore in 2021 only. He graduated from NIT Bhopal. Google has also paid a whopping $8.7 million in vulnerability rewards, which is around Rs 65 crores. Around 115 Chrome VRP researchers were rewarded for 333 unique Chrome security bug reports which were submitted in 2021, totalling $2.2 million in VRP rewards.
As per his company’s website, the motto of Bugsmirror states that “Our motto is to secure and buttress everyone against cyber security threats and ensure that your smartphones, PDA or any IoT devices are free from malwares and viruses. With this vision, currently our focus is on Android.
