Cop’s Daughter garroted, accused on the run
A Policeman’s daughter was found throttled to death, reportedly by her friend’s husband. The body of the woman was recovered from the home of the accused, in North Delhi. Allegedly the woman was in her twenties according to DCP Sagar Singh Kalsi.
The DCP also stated that they were cautioned about the incident at 7:56 pm on Friday. “The victim’s friend, who made the call, said that when she reached home in the evening, she found the woman lying on the bedroom floor. We have lodged an FIR of murder and further investigations are on,” quoted by Mr. Kalsi.
The police said that the accused used to work as an insurance agent, but lost his job recently. His wife used to work at a shop. The couple also rented a flat according to the policemen. The victim however was a graduate, who was going to get married on May 3.
In the police report the mother quoted, “Around 4 pm, after the call, she told me that she was going to their home as he wanted to buy a saree for his wife as a Valentine’s Day gift and needed her help. My daughter and the woman have been friends since school,”
The mother of the girl also alleged the accused saying that, “He came to pick her up on his motorbike. Around 5 pm, I asked my younger daughter to call her as she had not returned, but her phone was switched off. We were worried since she never switches it off. We then started making calls to her friend, whose phone was also showing switched off.”
According to the mother, she came to know about the incident around 9:30 after they received a call from the police station. “We were informed that she had been murdered by her friend’s husband,” she exclaimed with pain and grief.
The police ascertained that the Victim’s father was out of town, distributing Wedding invitations.the policemen concluded by stating that the father would return to Delhi tomorrow.

What monkey fled with a bag containing evidence in it: Read full story
The court, generally, considers a person who commit a crime and the one who destroys the evidence, as criminals in the eyes of law. But what if an animal destroys the evidence of a crime committed by a human.
In a peculiar incident in Rajasthan, a monkey fled away with the evidence collected by the police in a murder case. The stolen evidence included the murder weapon (a blood-stained knife).
The incident came to light when the police appeared before the court and they had to provide the evidence in the hearing.
The hearing was about the crime which took place in September 2016, in which a person named Shashikant Sharma died at a primary health center under Chandwaji police station. After the body was found, the deceased’s relatives blocked the Jaipur-Delhi highway, demanding an inquiry into the matter.
Following the investigation, the police had arrested Rahul Kandera and Mohanlal Kandera, residents of Chandwaji in relation to the murder. But, when the time came to produce the evidence related to the case, it was found that the police had no evidence with them because a monkey had stolen it from them.
In the court, the police said that the knife, which was the primary evidence, was also taken by the monkey. The cops informed that the evidence of the case was kept in a bag, which was being taken to the court.
The evidence bag contained the knife and 15 other important evidences. However, due to the lack of space in the malkhana, a bag full of evidence was kept under a tree, which led to the incident.
